Solar sa bubong, bagong investment ng mga negosyo

Habang nananatiling mataas ang presyo ng kuryente, dumarami ang mga negosyo at kabahayan na lumilipat sa rooftop solar upang mapababa ang kanilang operating costs.

Mula sa mga pabrika at warehouses hanggang sa hotels at restaurants, unti-unting nagiging business investment ang solar panels kaysa simpleng alternatibong pinagkukunan ng enerhiya.

Ayon sa Reuters, naging isa ang Pilipinas sa pinakamalalaking merkado ng Chinese solar panels ngayong 2026 matapos tumaas nang 145% ang imports sa loob lamang ng tatlong buwan. Dahil dito, bumilis din ang pagdami ng solar installations sa iba't ibang bahagi ng bansa. (Reuters)

Sinabi rin ng energy think tank na Ember na maaaring nadagdagan ng humigit- kumulang 600 megawatts ang rooftop solar capacity sa loob lamang ng isang taon, indikasyon ng mabilis na paglipat ng consumers at businesses sa renewable energy. (Flourish)

Para sa maraming kumpanya, ang mas mababang electric bill ay nangangahulugan ng mas malaking savings na maaaring ilaan sa pagpapalawak ng negosyo, kaya inaasahang magpapatuloy ang paglago ng solar industry sa mga susunod na taon. JESSE C. ONG
